The Department of Commerce was established in 2007. It provides a three-year undergraduate degree course i.e. B.Com (Hons) and B.Com (Program), divided into six semesters under the CBCS system. The department organises career guidance programmes, seminars, quiz competition, special lectures, debate, and many other innovative programmes every year. These are meant to upgrade students’ skills, creativity, and knowledge in order to make them industry savvy. Event management programmes and inter-college workshops are also conducted every year to develop the soft skills of the students. The department is extremely proud of its students such as Sandip Agarwal, Sonam Agarwal, Sreeparna Paul, and Ritu Mittal from B.Com (Hons.) and Sourav Leo Mardi from B.Com (Gen) who have topped in the University Exams.
