Beginning its academic journey in 2009, the Dept. of Geography has actively participated in various academic and co-curricular events. The department has organised numerous seminars, workshops, and special lectures to make students aware of the ongoing issues and emerging trends in the discipline. The department has done fieldwork in various places like the Sunderbans(2012), Sikkim(2013), Odisha (2014, 2017), Rajasthan (2015), Andhra Pradesh (2016, 2018)and Goa (2020). The students have also done a survey work in the Rajganj Block, Jalpaiguri.
