Established in 2007, the Department of History holds students' seminars on diverse topics semester-wise. The latest seminar was on 'Industrial Revolution and Scientific and Technological Progress' (2018). The department has hosted a debate competition on the topic, 'British Colonialism was a blessing or a curse for India' (2019). The department also conducts collage display events and organises study tours. The latest study tour was to Rumtek Monastery and the Nalanda Institute of Buddhist studies in Sikkim (2019).
